Vice president, Osibanjo condemns those who travel abroad for medical treatments.

The vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yemi Osibanjo  has urged Nigerians to believe in their country’s medical centers  instead of running around other countries which we think are better.

He revealed this when he spoke at the commencement of a two-day national health dialogue organised by the Premium Times Centre for Investigative Journalism, PTCIJ, the Project for Advocacy in Child and Family Health, PACFaH, and the Project Pink Blue at the Musa Yar’adua Centre in Abuja.

What is more painful is that if we could invest that huge amount of money spent on the medical treatments we spend abroad we would have a well equipped hospitals here in Nigeria.

According to reports,  Nigerians has spent billions of dollars on medical tourism this whooping amount of money could be channeled in bettering the economy and it’s medical centers

BBC pointed out that Nigerian incumbent  president  is among the five African presidents who always rush abroad for medical reasons.
