Former YBNL singer Lil kesh was rumored to have been in a clash with the record label (YBNL) which led to his separation from the group . But he debunked the rumores claiming he left on his own without anybody’s influence.
The 21 year old rapper , acknowledged that, to make it in life especially at this level of his career, he needs a working team around him and not the moment to stand alone. He stood his ground saying he left YBNL because he saw it as a growth movement, achieving his own record label. And not as a result of pressure from his friends as some people claimed.
During the interview he granted today 14 may, the young rapper said “people are getting it all wrong. No peer group or friends pressurised me to leave YBNL. To set the record straight I don’t move with any other crew other than the YBNL. So who would possibly want to influence me? Nobody.
It has always been Olamide’s dream that we all grow big in the industry . Olamide has shared the idea with me, before I even thought of it. I am still very much around in the industry.
And good stuf is going to come out from my stable and YBNL.
The fact that am floating my own label does not matter, neither does it mean that am no longer under YBNL. That is were a lot of people are getting it all wrong.
Olamide and YBNL movement are still managing me as an artiste. And the fact that u have my own record label, simply mean that YAGI record is still being managed by YBNL. We are still together. I and Olamide still record in the same studio, and work with the same set of producers. As we all know that YBNL is a family thing and we all suport one another.”
Kesh explained, convincingly in a bid to change the mindset of the public, regarding his action to establish his own record label YAGi.
Goodluck to him.
